North Beats South 13-6

In a matchup of cross town rivals, Lakeville North beat Lakeville South 13-6 at the South Varsity Field Wednesday.
Maggie Dunnett was 3-5 with a double, driving in three runs. Katie Parker and Chloe Saholt both went 3-4, and Jess Meidl and Erika Rozell each had two hits. Michaela Zins drove in two runs, going 1-2, and Amanda Moncelle drove in two runs with her single.
Dunnett pitched four innings of relief, getting the win. Dunnett gave up two runs on four hits, allowing no walks, and striking out three. Zins pitched the first three innings, giving up four runs on three hits, walking four and striking out four.
The line on the game: for the Panthers, thirteen runs on fifteen hits, with nine walks and three strikeouts. North stole seven bases, and South committed two errors in the field. For South, six runs on seven hits, with four walks and seven strikeouts. The Panthers committed five errors in the field.
The win moves the Panthers to 14-0 on the season, 7-0 in the South Suburban Conference. Next up is the second game of the home-and-home series with Lakeville South, at North on Thursday (weather permitting).
