Lakeville North Beats Jefferson 6-5

In a battle of South Suburban Conference undefeated teams on Monday, Lakeville defeated Bloomington Jefferson 6-5. 

Katie Parker had a big day at the plate. going 2-4 with a 2-run home run in the third inning, and singling in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh. Jess Meidl also had a good day, going 2-3 with a triple, and scoring three runs for the Panthers. Madison Malecha went 2-3 with a double, and Hailey Forshee also had a double.

Michaela Zins pitched all seven innings for the Panthers, giving up five runs on eight hits, with 1 walk and five strikeouts. Zins gave up a home run in the third inning.


The line on the game: for Lakeville, six runs scored on eight hits with one walk, five strikeouts, and a home run. Jefferson had two errors, and Lakeville stole one base. For Bloomington, five runs scored on eight hits, with one walk, five strikeouts, and a home run. The Panthers committed three errors.


The Panthers are now 12-0 and travel to Prior Lake for their next game.
