Home » Boys' Basketball NewsLISLE VARSITY BOYS HANDLE SENECAFebruary 23, 2010 Lisle High SchoolIf there is any truth to the cliche "save the best for last" the seniors on the Lisle basketball team certainly took note of it. On Friday night, the Lions honored seven seniors for their accomplishments and commitment to the Lisle basketball program over their 4 years at LHS. The senior members of the team included Ryan Liss, Michael Reeves, Marcus Wilson, Brian Begley, Dallas Schnake, Patrick Callan, and C.J. Heard. The Lisle basketball program would like to thank the parents for their support and wish the seniors the best of luck in their future endeavors. When all of the Senior Night festivities came to a close, the Lions were able to focus on the task at hand. Waiting in the opposing locker room was their arch rival, Seneca, a team which this senior class had yet to beat. Led by their seniors, the Lions answered the call and celebrated a 52-32 rout of conference foe Seneca. The Lions "all senior" starting lineup got the job done early on. In a defensive battle, the Lions entered the half leading 21-15. The second half was all Lisle. Slowly, the Lions built upon their lead which reached 23 at one point. When it was all said and done, the Lions sent their Seniors out right with a 20 point win over Seneca on Senior Night. Appropriately, the Lions were led in scoring by two Seniors. Ryan Liss recorded a game high 21 points, while Marcus Wilson added 16. The Lions now improve to 12-15 overall and 5-5 in the Interstate 8. Lisle wraps up the regular season next Friday night at Manteno.
