FROSH WIN SEASON OPENER

Lisle High School


The Lisle boys freshman team opened the season with a victory over Timothy Christian in the first round of the Chicago Christian Freshman Tournament.  Lisle led 19-7 at half, but Timothy Christian pulled within 4 as the Lions struggled with their full court pressure.  Lisle got a couple of much needed transition buckets early in the fourth from Corey Vaughn (8 points) to seal the victory.  Freshman center Nick Saul led all scorers with 10 points.  He also controlled the glass on both ends of the court.  Defensively, the Lions received a great performance from forward Brian Fiedler.  He came off the bench to provide a much needed spark.
