Information about Friday Dec. 7

December 6, 2012
By Jeff Peeler of Lincoln High School

Please wear your cheer shoes, pants, jersey with tank underneath, hair half up with bow, and jacket to school. BRING YOUR POMS

You will be greeting 8th graders in the main hall starting at 10:00am. Meet in front of the gym at 9:45am.

  • Group 1 will consist of the girls on the side of the bball formation that has Issy on the end, plus Allie. Allie will lead this group in welcoming the 8th graders. This group will be positioned on both sides of the doors that are closest to the gym.
  • Group 2 will consist of everyone from the side of the formation that includes Marcella, plus Ryan. Marcella will lead this group in welcoming the 8th graders. This group will be positioned on both sides of the doors that are closes to the auditorium.

You will be leading the fight song during the assembly.

  • You will be positioned underneath the hoop that is closest to the gym doors.
  • The back line of the formation will consist of the side of the bball formation that has Issy at the end, plus Ryan who should stand at the end of the back line.
  • The front line will consist of the girls on the side of the bball formation that includes Marcella.
  • Back line must set in windows off the front line.
  • during the fight song stand up, clap, and pony along. When the song reaches the point that says "rah rah!" you should do a right punch (ending in an extended right punch). You should use poms during this (Nicole Hall and Ryan do not worry about poms, just clap along).
  • Following this (and if necessary before) stay seated in your formation underneath the hoop. Remain smiley and engaged in the assembly, but do not talk to each other during the assembly

Please remember that because I am unable to attend the assembly, Marcella is in charge of you guys. Whether you have a different, or even better idea, it is imperative that you look like a cohesive unit, which means you must follow her directions and trust in your captain. Have a great day at school tomorrow!

I will see you at the game at 6:30 in front of the gym.

  • Wear full uniform
  • Bring poms
  • DO YOUR MAKEUP
