Moeller Cross Country Looks to Capture Alliance

The Moeller Cross Country Team traveled to Clayton, Ohio on September 17th, 2011 to compete in the Alliance Invitational where they finished 10th (out of 20 teams).   

Zach Hoffman was the team’s top finisher this week with a 21st place in 16:48 (out of 186 runners).    Finishing varsity was Andrew Mendel, Nicholas Mendel, Sam Bockhorst, Jimmy Clark, Ross Griffith, Mitch Gentile, Kyle Kaiser, Brendan Mulvaney, and Ben Bruggemann. 

The JV/Open had a split race with Brian Foos as the top finisher for the grades 9-11 race with a 26th place finish in 18:45 (out of 286 runners).   In the top five for that race were Connor Peed, Christien Ramey, Andrew Buschbacher, and Drew Klosterman.   In the other race for grades 10-12 it was Ray Gaier as the top Moeller finisher in 27th place in 18:38 (out of 196 runners).   Top five there were Jake Haigis, Matt Ernstes, Justin Gerbus, and Grant Lytle.

The next meet up is the Midwest Catholic Championship at Indian Ripple Park in Kettering, Ohio on September, 24th, 2011.
