TEAM PRAYER SERVICE THIS PAST WEEK
The wrestling team’s prayer service this past week focused on “Hard Work”. The prayer service opened with Scripture reflection on Hard Work: Hard Work Verses followed by a video “Never, Ever give up. Arthur’s inspirational transformation”. To view the video, please click on the following link: Video. A coach talk was given by Coach Hill and Coach Kunkel, followed by a video “Wrestlers: Work Hard to Achieve Success” to close out the prayer service – Video.
This week’s focus will be on virtue “Wisdom”. As we try to build the Moeller Wrestling Family and talk about the virtue of wisdom in our upcoming prayer services we would like parents to share your wisdom with the team. If you have something to share, please briefly state any wisdom about life or wrestling that you feel is important for our young men to know. If you would prefer to be anonymous please let us know. You can use other people’s quotes if you want, but we are most interested in hearing from people in our community. Some examples: “Quality people are your most important resource”; “Only ask of others what you are willing to give of yourself”. You can respond to this email or send a note to Coach Hill, who coordinates all the wrestling prayer services: firstname.lastname@example.org.
POWERADE SCHEDULE FOR VARSITY AND JV
Varsity wrestle-offs for the Powerade Tournament will start on Thursday and be completed by Saturday. Those interested in wrestling off for varsity need to notify Coach Gaier at Tuesday’s practice.
Any wrestler that does not wrestle varsity will have the opportunity to wrestle in the Powerade JV Tournament (we can weigh in more than 1 wrestler per weight) on Dec. 27. We hope to have that lineup set by Thursday. Any potential JV wrestlers should check the following travel schedule to see if the time commitment can be made. You can view the proposed travel schedule at the following link: Powerade Travel Schedule 2012.
The JV tournament is on Thursday, Dec. 27 (the varsity tournament is Dec. 28-29). JV wrestlers will be able to travel home with their parents (or another parent) after the tournament. If desired, JV wrestlers can stay with the varsity team throughout the varsity tournament. The wrestling program will pick up their lodging and some meals and transport them on the team bus. To help with lodging needs, JV wrestlers intending to stay for the varsity tournament will need to notify Coach Gaier by Thursday.
Any questions on Powerade should be directed to Coach Gaier.
The Moeller Wrestling cloth/spiritwear will be reopened one final time for those who missed the initial orders. Please go to www.bsnsports.com and click on “My Team Shop”.
The Access Code to use is: crusad9VU
This will be the final order of the season and the website will close on Dec. 23.
