CONDITIONING PROGRAM FINISHING UP
Twenty + wrestlers have taken advantage of the fall wrestling conditioning. A huge thank you to Coach Chip Morton, Coach Ben Creamer (from Ignition) and Coach Murray for coordinating this fall’s program. Other thanks to all the coaches who helped: Coach Matt Holtman, Coach Johnny Merryman, Coach Dan Hill, and Joe Hook. Conditioning continues on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday until November 1.
ALUMNI GEARING UP FOR COLLEGE SEASON
It should be an exciting season for former Crusaders on the college mats. Many should earn starting positions and all should get in a good number of matches. Moeller alumni competing this college season:

MARK BOWMAN CLINICS
The wrestling program will be bringing back leg specialist Coach Mark Bowman for two clinics this season. Coach Bowman will be at Moeller the following dates: Nov. 9 (4 PM – 6 PM); Nov. 10 (10 AM – 2 PM) ; and Jan 5 (9 AM – 2 PM). These clinics will be incorporated into the varsity practice and held in the wrestling room.

NEXT PARENT MEETING
The next wrestling parent/booster meeting will be on Thursday, November 1 at 6:30 PM in the library. I expect the meeting to last approximately 1 hour. This will be our pre-season planning meeting. Hopefully many of you will be able to make it.
WELCOME TO COACH CHRIS WILLERTZ FROM SPORTSLEADER
The wrestling program is expanding its SportsLeader program to include mentoring. To help facilitate the mentoring process with the team and coaches, Coach Chris Willertz (former coach of Winton Woods HS) will spend some time with the program. Coach Willertz is working with a number of programs through SportsLeader including Coach Tom Ryan’s Ohio State Buckeyes, who are in their second year of doing the program. Welcome Coach Willertz!

CLINIC WITH OSU COACH TOM RYAN AT LAKOTA EAST ON 10/26-27
Ohio State Head Wrestling Coach Tom Ryan will be instructing a clinic on October 26 and 27 at Lakota East High School. Coach Ryan will tailor the camp to meet the needs of novice, intermediate, and advanced wrestlers by running three separate instruction groups. Therefore, this camp is for ALL wrestlers. Cost is $75 for both days. See the link below if interested and contact Coach Gaier. If we send 10 or more, the cost is reduced.
ALUMNI / BOOSTER GET-TOGETHER AT JIM DANDY’S
All Moeller Wrestling Alumni and Boosters are invited to attend a social at Jim Dandy’s BBQ (Sharon Road) on Thursday, Nov. 15 at 7 PM. Coach Gaier and other members of the coaching staff will be on hand to discuss this year’s team, schedule, and the season outlook.
MOELLER WRESTLING AND COMMUNITY SERVICE
The wrestling team is going to partner and volunteer this season with CCA (Cincinnati Center for Autism). Opportunities for our team will range from weekend group work to individual time during the week working directly with their students. Opportunities will be communicated to the team as the season progresses.
DON’S AUTO TO HELP MOELLER WRESTLING
Don ’99 and Chad ’02 Schnitzler of Don’s Auto Repair (6063 Cornell Road, Cincinnati OH 45242) have offered to help out the Moeller wrestling program this season in a big way. If you bring your vehicle to Don’s, they will donate 10% of all repair or maintenance work completed to the Moeller Wrestling Program. Be sure to tell them you are associated with the Moeller wrestling program.
