Home » Football NewsCrusaders hold off Louisville St. XavierSeptember 15, 2012 Cincinnati Moeller High SchoolQuarterback Keith Watkins ran for a pair of touchdowns and Matt Reiniger kicked two field goals to lead Cincinnati Moeller to a 34-27 victory over host St. Xavier on Friday night in high school football. The Crusaders (4-0), ranked in the top 20 of most national polls, led 34-17 when the Tigers (3-2) rallied in the fourth quarter. Austin Davis scored on a 4-yard run and Brad Schickel made the second of his two field goals to pull St. X within 34-27 with 2:35 to go. The Tigers then recovered an onside kick and moved to the Moeller 15 before giving up the ball on downs. Charles Walker led St. X with 172 yards rushing and two TDs.
