Lakota West senior goalkeeper Joe McClanahan. Junior Kyle Brotherton, Joe Clear and senior Kevin Barbour each scored for the Firebirds, while senior goalkeeper Joe McClanahan needed three saves to shut out the Crusaders.
Next up, Lakota West will host Worthington Kilbourne, who like Lakota West won a district championship in 2011, this Saturday at 3 p.m. The schedule won’t let up a bit, as next Thursday, Aug. 30, the Firebirds will host No. 2 St. Xavier.
