Crusader Baseball Brings Home City Championship

May 8, 2012
Cincinnati Moeller High School

From The Cincinnati Enquirer

May 8, 2012

In Division I baseball, Moeller (18-4) won the title with 15 first-place votes. Mason was second and Elder was third.

“The poll title means that we have had a great regular season so far,” Moeller coach Tim Held said. “It’s a great honor for us to be recognized by the other coaches as the best team in Cincinnati at the end of the regular season.”

Moeller plays its sectional first-round game on Thursday at Schuler Park against today’s winner between Northwest and Western Hills.

The Crusaders have been led by seniors Brian Burkhart, Ty Amann, Ryan LeFevers and juniors Cameron Whitehead and Spencer Iacovone along with sophomore Zack Shannon.
