Lakers swept by Rend Lake

INA--The Lakers baseball squad of Lake Land College took a couple on the chin in Ina when they were swept by the Warriors of Rend Lake College.

In game one, the Lakers were edged, 6-5. The nitecap wasn't nearly as close, as RLC shut out LLC 10-0.

The Lakers are published (some results not reported) as having an overall record of 11-11 with a Great Rivers Athletic Conference record of 4-8.

With both John A. Logan College (13-2, 22-9) and Wabash Valley College (12-3, 25-5) off to a hot start and running one-two in the GRAC, Lake Land will have to bring things up a notch and perform well in head-to-head competition with the aforementioned.

Lake Land travels to Lincoln Trail College Wednesday for a GRAC double header that starts at 1:30 p.m. CST.
