Kohrmann and Bogle ensure Consolation semi's for Lady Lakers

EAST PEORIA--COUGARPLEX--Freshmen Shelby Kohrmann (20 pts.) and Lauren Bogle (19 pts.) combined for 39 points in the Lake Land College Lady Lakers, 66-56 Consolation quarter-final victory over Lackawanna College Thursday at the NJCAA-WBB-Division II-National Finals in East Peoria.

Lake Land led by as much as 19 points. Lackawanna made three big runs, coming back to within four points once before the Lady Lakers increased their lead.

The Lady Lakers advance to the Consolation semi-finals, matching up against 14th seed Southeast Community College (22-6)(Beatrice, NE). Game time is set for 11:00 a.m. CST, at Ramsey Gymnasium within the CougarPlex, on Friday, March 23.

Featured in the other Consolation semi-final is #8 seed, Prairie State College (29-6)(Chicago Heights, IL) versus #13 Chesapeake College (26-4)(Wye Mills, MD). Game time is slated for 1:00 p.m. CST, at Ramsey Gymnasium, on Friday, March 23, immediately following the Lake Land/Southeast game.

A Lake Land loss ends their tourney action.

A Lake Land win sends them to the Consolation Championship, which is the equivolent of the 7th/8th place National Finals game, on Saturday, March 24, at noon.
