All games will played at Illinois Central College, 1 College Drive, East Peoria, IL, at Lorene Ramsey Gymnasium within the CougarPlex. By traditional seeding, that translates into the Lady Lakers playing the #7 seed in the first round, Lake Michigan College (27-4), but the official bracket has yet to be announced by tournament officials. Lake Michigan College has a .871 winning percentage while Lake Land College's winning is .727. By the design of the tournament bracket (undesignated) published on the official tournament web site, losers in the first round will only be able to go to a consolation bracket. A second loss ends a team's tourney involvement. First round winners, by contrast can endeavor toward a national championship. Unlike the consolation bracket, a team can make it to the tourney's final day for either the championship, a third/fourth place game, or a fifth/sixth place game. To ensure one of these opportunities, a team would have to win it's first two games in the winners bracket. 2012 NJCAA National Final Tournament Seeding: #1 - Johnson County Community College (31-1) #2 - Cincinatti State Technical & Community College (30-1) #3 - Kirkwood Community College (28-1) #4 - Louisburg College (28-1) #5 - Mesa Community College (22-7) #6 - Kishwaukee College (25-8) #7 - Lake Michigan College (27-4) #8 - Prairie State College (28-5) #9 - Monroe College (26-6) #10 - Lake Land College (24-9) #11 - St. Clair County Community College (19-15) #12 - St. Louis Community College (20-8) #13 - Chesapeake College (25-3) #14 - Southeast Community College (22-5) #15 - Lackawanna College (no published record) #16 - Erie Community College (16-13)
