1-12-2013 SKIERS COMPETE IN FIRST RACE OF SEASON

Lakeridge High SchoolThe Lakeridge and Lake Oswego High School Ski Teams competed in their first race of the Three Rivers League regular season last Saturday at Mt. Hood Ski Bowl. The cold temperatures left the course firm and fast and the racers rose to the challenge.
The Lakeridge boys team finished in second place with Ashlay Ruddick finishing 4th overall. Will Johnson, a freshman racing his first year for Lakeridge, finished 12th with strong finishes by Jack Benziger in 20th and Brandon Kuhnert in 21st place. On the girls side, the top Pacer finishers were Lauren McIver in 13th and Sam Hargrove in 19th with strong first runs from Maddy Lawhead and Lizzie Aronson.
The Lake Oswego girls finished in first place with a 2nd, 3rd, 4th place sweep from Sarah Tucker, Keeley DeBar and Annie Wells. The Lake Oswego boys team had fast times from Travis Toal in 14th place and Alex Krenek in 15th. The boys team placed 5th for the race.
