1-12-2013 SKIERS COMPETE IN FIRST RACE OF SEASON

The Lakeridge and Lake Oswego High School Ski Teams competed in their first race of the Three Rivers League regular season last Saturday at Mt. Hood Ski Bowl.  The cold temperatures left the course firm and fast and the racers rose to the challenge.  

The Lakeridge boys team finished in second place with Ashlay Ruddick finishing 4^th overall.  Will Johnson, a freshman racing his first year for Lakeridge, finished 12^th with strong finishes by Jack Benziger in 20^th and Brandon Kuhnert in 21^st place.  On the girls side, the top Pacer finishers were Lauren McIver in 13^th and Sam Hargrove in 19^th with strong first runs from Maddy Lawhead and Lizzie Aronson.  

The Lake Oswego girls finished in first place with a 2^nd, 3^rd, 4^th place sweep from Sarah Tucker, Keeley DeBar and Annie Wells.  The Lake Oswego boys team had fast times from Travis Toal in 14^th place and Alex Krenek in 15^th.  The boys team placed 5^th for the race.
