ORE GIRLS: Meghan Jordan Commits to UC Davis

November 5, 2009
Lakeridge High School

Lakeridge senior middie Meghan Jordan has committed to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at UC Davis.

Jordan registered 71 points on 32 goals and 39 assists as a junior in helping to lead the Pacers to a state semifinal appearance. She also had 68 draw controls, 32 ground balls and 46 caused turnovers last season.

"My goal was to stay on the West Coast and play Division I lacrosse," Jordan said. "I'm excited to remain a part of the growing West Coast lacrosse community."

Jordan has led Lakeridge in draw controls since her freshman season, and in 2009 she also led the Pacers in assists and ground balls. She was second on the team in goals and caused turnovers.

She said she chose UC Davis because of its academics and athletics.

"UC Davis is competitive academically and has a great lacrosse program," Jordan said. "It offers me a lot of opportunities."
