The boys' 112-58 victory kept the Lakers undefeated in league this year. There were some dominating performances in the meet for Lake Oswego. After winning the 200 medley relay to start the evening, Michael Sayer won the first individual event, the 200 freestyle in a time of 1:51.59, beating Clackamas' top finisher by nearly 17 seconds. In the 200 individual medley, the Lakers recorded a one-two finish with Luke Marshall winning the event in 1:59.47 and Kevin O'Leary taking second. It was another one-two finish in the 50 freestyle. Santo Condorelli won in 21.68, followed by Davie Ainsworth for the Lakers. With very little recovery time, Condorelli was back in the pool for the 100 butterfly, winning the event as well in 54.53 seconds. Lake Oswego also took second in the butterfly with Alex Lyons finishing in 58.30. Ainsworth claimed his first individual win of the meet in the 100 freestyle, winning by nearly a second. Then, in the 500 freestyle, Sayer won his second event, cracking the five-minute barrier with a 4:59.69 finish for the easy win. O'Leary was equally impressive in the 100 backstroke, finishing in 57.28 seconds, a full three seconds ahead of his closest competitor. Marshall would then win the breaststroke for the Lakers in a time of 59.69 followed by Jono Friedman in second place. The girls meet was slightly closer with the Lakers pulling away 95-74 while also showcasing some very fast swims. Just moments after helping the Lakers win the 200 medley relay, Katie VanHoomisen was back in the pool for the 200 freestyle. She won the event in 2:20.95 while the Lakers' Rachel Braun came in second. It was another one-two finish for Lake Oswego in the 200 individual medley. Irene Lee won the event, edging out teammate Amy Chen by half a second as the Lakers got off to a very strong start. In the 100 butterfly, Abby Lyons finished in 1:03.63 to win the event handily. Clackamas was strong in the freestyle events as Shanelle Cayateno won both of the sprints and Sarah Wozniak won the 500 freestyle. Clackamas also picked up a win in the 200 freestyle relay to tighten the scores. But the Lakers finished the meet with some very strong performances. In the 100 backstroke, Lee and Chen switched places with Chen winning the event in 1:06.60 and Lee taking second. That was followed by Lyons' second individual win of the day, winning the breaststroke by nearly 13 seconds. Lake Oswego would then cruise to a win in the freestyle relay to wrap up the scoring for the meet. The victory moved the Laker girls to 2-1 on the year with an earlier win over Oregon City and a narrow loss to Canby. The Lakers take on West Linn tonight (Thursday) at the Lake Oswego pool.
