Hamilton singles give Jeff two victories

Keaton Hamilton's second walk-off RBI single of the day lifted Lafayette Jeff to a 9-8 victory over Crawfordsville in the final game of the Joe Heath Classic at Loeb Stadium on Saturday.

Hamilton also ended Jeff's 2-1, eight-inning victory over Chesterton with an RBI single. The Bronchos won all three of their Heath Classic games in their final at-bat.

Peter Ripke scored his fourth run of the game on Hamilton's hit. Hamilton also had a two-run double in the second inning, and Reid Pittard had a two-run single in the first.

Jordan Jackson went 3-for-4 with four RBIs for Crawfordsville, including a two-run double in the sixth that keyed a four-run inning as the Athenians came back from an 8-4 deficit.
