Lady Titans open district play with 11-1 win

The Lady Titans had work to do at Neshoba Central on Friday night. They faced district foe Neshoba Central in the first of two meetings that would decide which team had the upper hand in the District 3-5A seedings. After scoring five early first half goals, the first step towards defending the crown was taken in a decisive tone.
Sophomore Mary Ashton Lembo continued her hot streak of goal scoring with a goal in the 3rd and 14th minutes. Junior Haley Britt added her first career hat trick as she scored goals in the 8th, 9th and 51st minutes of play.
Senior Sloan Bancroft added two goals while both Rachel and Hanna Harris, Allison Bunch, and Shannon Locke added goals of their own.
Hanna Harris and Locke had three assists while Rachel Harris added two. Five others including sophomore fullback Rhae'Ven Ellis and 8th grade forward Tracie Hobbs added one assist each.
Haley Hegwood was credited with the win in goal. Freshman Jessica Milner also played keeper for the 8-1-3 #6 Lady Titans.
