Last night KV's area #3 ranked squad improved to 9-1 on the season, and 5-1 in the NCC, with wins over Lowell and Highland.  The 3200 relay team of Allison Rockley, Allison Schultheis, Brittany Kent and Brittany Stepp were 1st overall in 10:56.0.  Jenna Jungels won another 100 hurdles race in 16. 03, into a strong wind.  Shanan Patrick was 3rd.  Rockley sprinted home 1st in the 1600 in 6:04.0, with Stepp-3rd and Ally Tokarz-4th.  Leanna Mulloy-13.65, Leah Gouwens and Gab Martin performed a rare double-dual sweep in the 100, taking 1-2-3.  Joli Jungels, Je. Jungels, Martin and Mulloy won another 400 relay in 51.58.  Kara Gouwens, who had a great meet, as did Rockley, etc. was 2nd in the 400 with a season-best (SB) time of 64.23.  Juiianna Colon, out of Heat 2, was a very strong 3rd overall in a PR time of 66.71.  Patrick hustled home 2nd in the 300 hurdles in a PR time of 53.63.  Fr. Schultheis busted the 800 of her career, taking 2nd in a huge PR time of 2:37.15.  Stepp gutted out a 3rd.  Je. Jungels dominated another 200, winning in a time of 26.78, with K. Gouwens grabbing a big 2nd place in 29.12.  Rockley pulled away again in the 3200, winning in 13:16.0, with Tokarz a strong 3rd in 13:49.0.  Jo. Jungels, Colon, Patrick and K. Gouwens were 2nd in the 4x400.  Jenna Musall had another big high jump, winning the event in a SB leap of 4'-8". Mackenzie DeMars was 3rd, also with a jump of 4'-8''.  Mykenzie Seegers returned to action and took a big blue ribbon in the pole vault at 7'-6".  Erin Gouwens tied her PR, with a 7 foot vault, good for 4th.  Kendall Schultz also PR'd in the vault.  Je. jungels won the long jump with a solid 16'-8 1/2" leap, with big sis Joli 2nd with a fine 15'-4".  The throws were awesome again, versus excellent competition.  Beth Jansma uncorked one of KV's longest throws ever, a HUGE PR toss if 111'-4", good for 2nd , and a mark that should put Jansma among the area bests.  Emily Tauber also PR'd with a toss of 86'-11".  Not to be outdone by her buddy Jansma, Alyssa (Egg) Eger heaved the shot a PR 34'-1", also among the best in KV history!  This was 2nd overall. K. Gouwens also PR'd in the shot, with a toss of 32'-0", good for 4th overall.  Terrific regular NCC season ladies, get rested and healed for Tuesday's NCC meet, at Munster.  Bus leaves at 2:30 from the E-Building.
