Lady Kougar Swimmers Beat North Judson

Last night the Lady Kougar swim team defeated North Judson 126-32 to improve to 3-1 on the season. Abbey Sittema continued her fine season, winning the 200 IM in 2:30.49, and the 100 fly in 1:10.57. Brittany Stepp won the 200 free in 2:42.27, and swam on the 200 free and 400 free relay winners. Jordan Rhoades, Alysia Beenes, Kate Lott and Audra Lewis won the medley relay in 2:21.21, with the team of Madi Klauer, Leah Gouwens, Sonny Anderson and Caitlin Roth 2nd. Sarah Axtell and Jess Nagel went 2-3 in the 200 free. Maddie Babicka was 2nd in the IM in an excellent time of 2:32.85, with Beenes-4th. Jordon Dittrich was 2nd in the 50 free, with Faith Hoffman-4th. Babicka was 2nd in the 100 fly in 1:11.09, another fine time, with Jordyn Rentschler-3rd. Rhoades was 2nd in the 100 free, with Roth-3rd, and Klara Hausenfleck-5th. Lott was 2nd in the 500 free, with Anderson-3rd, and Gouwens-4th. Sittema, Lewis and Babicka joined Stepp on the 200 free relay winner, with a time of 2:00.01. Nagel, Jordan Brodner, Maribeth Strong and Axtell were 2nd, and Emma Abbring, Hoffman, Rentschler and Hausenfleck 3rd. Roth won the 100 back in 1:26.04, with Klauer a strong 2nd. Beenes flew to first in the 100 breaststroke in 1:24.31. with Lewis 2nd, and Gouwens 3rd in a personal record time of 1:33.13. Rhoades, Klauer and Strong joined Stepp on the 400 free relay winner in 4:53.09, with Anderson, Axtell, Nagel and Dittrich in 2nd. The ladies travel to Munster next Tuesday for their next meet.
