Home » Girls' Swimming & Diving NewsLady Kougar Swimmers Improve to 2-0November 26, 2012 Kankakee Valley High SchoolLast Tuesday, KV's female swimmers and divers traveled to Hobart and came away with a 105-71 victory to improve to 2-0 in the NCC and overall. Kate Lott, Audra Lewis, Maddie Babicka and Abbey Sittema won the 200 medley relay in 2:09.33. Madi Klauer, Alysia Beenes, Sonny Anderson and Jordon Dittrich were 3rd. Jordan Rhoades, who had a monstrous meet, won the 200 free in a personal-record (PR) time of 2:24.60. Caitlin Roth was 4th and Sarah Axtell-5th. Sittema, like Babicka, showing their versatility, won the 200 individual medley in 2:30.59, with Lott-4th, and Anderson-5th. Lewis was 2nd in the 50 free, with Brittany Stepp-4th. Jordan Brodner won the diving event with 124.65 points, with teammate Maribeth Strong-2nd. Babicka won the 100 fly in 1:06.58, with Jordyn Rentschler-4th. Lewis was 2nd in the 100 free, Stepp was 4th, and Leah Gouwens-5th. Rhoades dominated the grueling 500 free, winning in another PR time of 6:43.99, with Roth-2nd and Axtell-3rd, giving the Kougars a sweep of that event and 13 big points! Gouwens, Dittrich, Beenes and Stepp were 2nd in the 200 free relay. Babicka won the 100 back in 1:10.42, with Lott a strong 2nd. Sittema won the 100 breaststroke in 1:21.20, with Beenes, returning from illness, a very solid 2nd. Babicka, Rhoades, Lewis and Sittema dominated the 400 free relay event, winning in 4:21.54. The ladies host Highland tomorrow night, and travel to North Judson on Thursday.
