Kougars Split Two on Senior Night

The Kankakee Valley Softball team hosted a "Senior-night" double header on Thursday evening.

Game one saw the Kougars pound out 11 hits to down Westville 11 to nothing.  Senior Ashley Stahl had 2 hits, scored 2 runs, and drove in 4.  Senior Ashley Dobson was the winning pitcher and had a double, with 3 runs batted in.

Game two was a tight contest with both KV and Chesterton managing just 4 hits apiece.  The Lady Trojans put 2 runs across in the third inning and held on to defeat the Kougars 2-0.  Alyssa Matson, Ashley Stahl, Danielle Ruesken, and Mia Stevens had singles for KV, whose record stands at 18 wins 8 losses.  KV hosts Rochester at 10 a.m. Saturday.
