Kougars Victorious

     The varsity softball team put together another fine effort at Andrean on Wednesday. 

     Pitcher, Ashley Dobson, recovered from a second inning home run off the bat of 59'er catcher Morgan Neal to give a gutsy performance and silence the Andrean bats the rest of the way.

     The Kougars rallied in the fifth when Dobson drew a one-out walk.  Maribeth Strong's sacrifice bunt was misplayed, giving K.V. runners at first and second.  Second baseman, Lindsey Fenstermaker, then launched the second pitch of her at bat over the center fielder's head for a 2 RBI double, propelling the Kougars to a 2-1 victory.

     K.V. is now 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the conference.  The Kougars host Highland on Friday.
