Latino scholars, béisbol, & culture recognized at Latino Heritage Day with the Toledo Muds Hens

July 25, 2010: After days of inclement weather, the 8^th Annual Latino Scholarship Day with the Toledo Mud Hens realized excellent weather along with baseball and Latino excitement in the form of entertainment by Folkloric Dance group Imagenes Mexicanas and Mariachi Guadalajara, at Fifth Third Field in downtown Toledo.

Latino scholars were recognized, including: Alec Perdeau (graduated from St. Francis de Sales High School and continuing his education at the University of Toledo, $500); Tabitha Mixon (Owens Community College, $1,000), Maite Barrios (Owens Community College, $1,000); Deonne Zientek (Lourdes College, $650), and Alicia Castillo (Lourdes College, $650).
