Homecoming banquet

On Saturday January the 22nd, the Homecoming banquet was held at the Rankin. Girls and Guys showed up in fancy ties and beautiful dresses. Once everyone sat down, waiters served a three course meal that was very delicious. All throughout the event we were asked multiple trivia questions that were quite interesting. At the end, Pastor Ricky Smith prayed and dismissed the unforgettable evening. Following the banquet is Spirit week, when we get to dress up and show our Calvary Spirit. Spirit week consists of tacky day, decade day, character day, sports day and finally Calvary spirit day. On Saturday we will have our homecoming games when we play Byne and Trinity Christian schools. Also on Saturday we will be giving our Calvary volleyball team their state rings and announcing the king and queens of our homecoming court. Our Homecoming court consists of ninth grade Kelyn Hammonds, Tori Bruhn, Cassie Bates, Andrew Walsh, Daniel Tipton, and Adam Gray. The tenth grade consists of Delaney Harrison, Hannah Mott, Meghan Wall, Mitchell Galloway, Justin Moss, and Jeremy Walker. The eleventh grade consists of Sally Key, Hayden Newman, Alana Roper, Caleb Ashburn, Matt Gray, and Adam Ross. The choices for King and Queen are Megan Eldridge, Caytlin Merritt, Kendall Morris, Drew Ballesteros, Jay Morris, and Jacob Vanhorn. After Homecoming court they will announce the winner of the wall competition between ninth through twelfth grades.
