KIMBALL FACES BRYAN ADAMS AGAIN
November 7, 2011By DeMarco King of Justin F Kimball High School
Kimball will host Bryan Adams at Wilmer Hutchins Stadium on Thursday November 10 at 7:30 for the Bi-District Championship. Kimball has beaten Bryan Adams for two years in a row. Kimball has outscored B.A. 68-21 in both times they have played. This time it's going to be different. Both teams are playing for a chance at the State Championship game held at the Cowboys Stadium December 16, 2011.
In the first game of the year, Kimball's quarterback, Tray Thibodeaux got injured after scoring Kimball's third and final touchdown in the third quarter which put the Knights up 19-0, before Adams scored its only touchdown. Thibodeaux was out for six weeks. Some felt like it was a late hit that the referee didn't call. Seniors Jaalen Adkins and Leandre Roberts, stepped in and kept the team alive. In that game, Adams quarterback was athlete Jalen Jordan, who is now at wideout. Senior Joshua Brown, listed at 6'3" 180, was ineligible at the time, has since came in and threw for more than 1400 yards, 13 td and 7 int. The Cougars also have another athlete on the other side of the ball who's committed to Texas Tech, WR/LB, Kris Williams. If the Knights can control him while he's on defense, believe that the Knights have a great chance of winning the game.
Thursday will be a a good game with a lot of Division I athletes on the field and the team that makes the least mistakes, will have a chance to see the winner of Frisco Wakeland-Rockwall-Heath winner next week for the Area Championship.
