Junior, Shannon Lilly, hit the games first points with a five foot jump shoot off an Oscar Lewis steal. Lilly was 4-4 in the first quarter, which he scored 10 of the Knights 13 points in the first 5 minutes within the game. Kimball went on a two runs in the first quarter 4-0 in the start and a 9-0 run. Austin Franklin stopped one of LaMarque's run with a 3 pointer. He had 10 of his 15 points in the first half. Lilly was named the games Most Valuable Player as he was 5-6 for three point shots and finished with a game high of 23 points." I felt very confident today.I like to step up in big game", said Lilly. LaMarque's Guard, Julien Jones, who signed with University of Texas, had 20 points and was making Franklin work and vise-a-versa. With the game going into the fourth quarter, Kimball was outscored in the third quarter 17-13, cutting Kimball's lead to 9, making it 55-47. As the fourth quarter started, Jones and LaMarque was pushing the Knights with 3 points. Jarion Henry, rebounds a missed shot by Jalen Jones, passed it to Franklin for the lay-up, and put Kimball back up 5 wiith 3:50 left. (Franklin had committed his fourth foul on LaMarque's Jones with 5:51 left in the game and had to sit. This is when LaMarque felt that they had an up on Kimball). Kimball would keep their head in the game after Henry fouled out the game with 4 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assist. Jalen Jones was 10-11 from the free throw line and had 19 points. Oscar Lewis had 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals. Jordan Williams finished with only 9 point. " I felt like this was a outside day. Everyone focus on the front, that i told Lilly that this would be his day", said Coach Johnson.
