MONROE HOLIDAY PARADE
Report time is 3:15 PM for a 3:30 departure on Saturday, November 19, 2011.
Be in Complete Uniform!!! Dress warmly underneath
Standard Santa hats are required, no aberrations or mutants!
If the temperature is below 40 degrees F, you will be allowed to wear gloves or mittens in school colors (red, gray, black)
Instrument decorations must be tasteful and not interfere with playability.
If there is bad weather, listen to the radio for the cancellation of the parade. We will not march if the parade is cancelled!!
Parade route: Begins at Navarre field outside Monroe, proceeds down Monroe St. to Front St. (just before the river), turns left on Front and ends at the Laurel Finzel Building.
Parade starts at 4 PM. (We are the 54th entry)
Band room will be open to get equipment. The rest of the school will NOT be available
Return time is approximately 6:00 PM.
Everyone will need to turn in their uniform. Bring all uniform parts including garment bag, hat and hat box, etc., etc., etc., Make sure to bring a change of clothes!!!!! If the weather is nice, hats and raincoats will be checked in while we are at the parade.
Uniforms will be checked over and sent to the cleaners next week.
The Marching Band Banquet will be held on Tuesday, November 29th. Be sure you have your reservation in. Please dress nicely for the banquet.
Stop by the band room November 28th to check the banquet program for correct listing of your awards and spelling of your name.
