Bedford Girls Cross Country results for Tiffin Carnival

Here are the results from Saturday's race.  All in all a very good day for our team!!!  The gap between 1-5 was closed up a ton with Kaitlyn Leist stepping up and running 21:10 and finishing 5th for our team...great job Kaitlyn!!!  The top four were strong as usual and still getting faster, with our 6th and 7th also decreasing time and closing the gap between 1-7...nice job girls.  Emily Davis and Katie Bules dropped 1:00 and 1:28 from the last meet to show the most improvement for the Varsity B Team, with Emily Woods leading the way with a great last mile to move up and finish first for the Varsity B squad.  Emily Woods, Meridith Spohler, and Katie Bules will be moving up to the Varsity Team for the first Jamboree (10 runners in the varsity race)...congratulations girls!!!

The team placed 8th out of 31 teams in the Varsity A Race our best finish in more than a decade!!!  We actually tied for 7th, but they go back to the 6th runner to break the tie and we were 18 places back of the other teams 6th runner.

Unfortunately the open race was canceled due to lightening and the rest of the team did not get to race.
