Indiana Tech signs Duschl to continue soccer and education

June 2, 2014
By Larry Mauter of Bedford High School

Bedford High School senior soccer player Hannah Duschl recently signed with Indiana Tech.  The Warriors are an NAIA school competing in the WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference).

Duschl, a 5-foot-6 defender, was a four year letterwinner at Bedford High School and she has been a four-time scholar-athlete.  In addition, she played for the Greater Toledo Futbol Club (GTFC).

"Hannah had the opportunity to work out with the team and our players were very impressed with her," said Head Coach Jim Lipocky. "She will give us an added dimension to our defense and help us improve our program."

"I am very excited to be joining the Indiana Tech Women's Soccer team, "said Duschl. "I'm glad I found the perfect college for me!"

Duschl played in all 17 games as a senior recording three assists.  In her junior campaign of 2013, Duschl played in all 18 matches totaling 10 points on three goals and four assists, with three of her assists coming on game-winning goals.

Her sophomore year of 2012, Duschl tallied a career-high five goals including a hat trick vs. Ypsilanti, while adding two assists.

As a freshman in 2011, Duschl played in all 22 contests for the best team in school history that went 15-6-1 and advanced to the district final for the only time in program history.  Duschl recorded 13 points on four goals and five assists in her rookie season.
