Day 2 of the SEC meet, Bedford gets State qualifiers
February 24, 2014By Larry Mauter of Bedford High School
Congratulations to the Bedford A Medley Relay for Qualifying for the State Meet today at SECs. The relay team consisted of Senior Dustyn Durbin and two sophomores, Cole Ellsworth and Tom Mays, as well as freshman, Kevin Lingle. This is our team's first ever relay qualification.
Also, freshman Kevin Lingle qualified for his second individual race of the season in the 100 Breaststroke.
Sophomore Cole Ellsworth has qualified in multiple races over the season, but bettered his time today in the 200 Free.
The second day of SECs is always exciting. It is a challenge for the swimmers to swim well on day two of the competition after they already swam the same events the day before. This team this year really stepped up to this challenge and posted faster times in almost all of the events today.
