Ladies qualify for state meet!
November 1, 2009 By Larry Mauter of Bedford Senior High School
10-31-09 State Regionals The girls ran an amazing race Saturday in both the varsity and j.v. sections. Our varsity team qualified for the state meet by finishing 3rd as a team with 89 pts, Monroe was second with 72 pts, and Saline first with 19 pts. Individual performances: Amanda Zittleman was the teams only medalist in 14th place (20:41), but our strong pack once again helped us push through the field and made us tough to beat, Heather Felkey was in next at 17th place (20:53), Megan Sloan 18th place (20:55) an all time personal best for her on a horrifically windy day, Kourtney Osentoski 19th place (20:56), Anne Redd 21st place (21:09), Rachel Mayer 22nd place (21:10), and Mariah Robinette 23rd place (21:30). In the open race we had many great performances including a few NEW PR's!!!
Lauren Bules finally back from injury and sickness was the first overall female in the race in a time of 21:15, Meridith Spohler was second overall in 21:29, Chloe Rick fourth overall in 21:48, Emily Green (23:12), Brittany Gralak (24:00), Madi Panning (24:32), Lindsey Velich (24:58), Annie Valade (25:12), Amalie Farah (26:20), Jessica Buford (28:19). |
