Home » Cross Country NewsBedford boys take 4th in Regional and just miss cut, Wexler qualified for state meetOctober 28, 2012 Bedford SportsThe Bedford boys cross country team competed in the Regional Meet hosted by Woodhaven at the Lake Erie Metropark in Gibralter, Michigan, today. The Kicking Mules place 4th out of 14 teams, missing the state cut by one spot. Ben Wexler had a career best time of 16:32 to qualify individually for the state meet by finishing 11th overall. Adam Blaida was the second runner for Bedford, finishing 19th in a time of 17:03. Max Lezon (17:38), Tyler Benore (17:50), and Logan Smith (17:51) rounded out the scoring for the Mules. Saline took the Regional title, followed closely by Ann Arbor Pioneer. Wyandotte Roosevelt took third as the final qualifying team from the region. Bedford also had several JV runners finish well in the open race. Gregory Lingle (18:11) led the way for the Mules with a personal best time. Also posting personal bests were Zach Huber (18:53), Tommy Erdmann (19:15), Tony Bomia (20:04), Anthony Soster (20:33), and Brandon Gore (21:10). Ben Wexler will compete at the state meet for the Mules next Saturday at Michigan International Speedway.
