Bedford dominates Adrian in boys soccer

September 7, 2012
Bedford High School

Date: 9/6/12
Opponent: Adrian
Location: Adrian
Final Score: Bedford, 8-1, Adrian

Today, we played away at Adrian. Our play was very sloppy in the beginning of the game and our overly casual approach resulted in us giving up a penalty kick to Adrian early in the half, which they converted to go up 1-0. After that goal, however, we found our focus and our play was sharp and positive from that point on.

Shortly after we went down 1-0, Nathan Thomas finished a pass from Brendan Chuhy to even the score at 1-1. Later in the half Austin Rahman scored with Brendan Chuhy recording his second assist of the game. Shortly before the end of the half, Nathan Thomas scored his second goal of the day after finishing a perfectly placed through ball from Jake Cousino and the half ended 3-1 in our favor.

After regaining control if the game, we carried that momentum into the second half and dominated the run of play. In the second half, Austin Rahman scored two more times to bring his goal total to four for the day (ten goals on the season.) Wesley Gensler and Travis Wagoner recorded one goal each as well to bring the final score to 8-1. Hunter Lynch had three assists, Luke Skrownek and Alex McCrory each recorded an assist as well.

The JV team recorded a 4-0 shutout to add to the strong play for the Mules soccer program.

The Varsity record is now 3-1-2, and our next game is at home versus Chelsea on Tuesday, September 11th.
