Boys take 4th in South Lyon XC invitational

The Bedford Mules boys cross country team kicked off their season by placing 4^th at the South Lyon Invitational today at Island Lake State Park in South Lyon, Michigan. Leading the Mules was Ben Wexler, who finished 11^th overall in a time of 17:43. Adam Blaida had an excellent race, finishing 15^th overall in 17:57. Rounding out the scoring were Logan Smith (19^th, in 18:06), Maxwell Lezon (20^th , in 18:10), and Tyler Benore (33^rd, in 18:45). Northville, a perennial state power, dominated the race, scoring 24 points. Livonia Stevenson was 2^nd with 64 points. Novi took third with 87 points, just edging out the Mules, who finished with 99  points. In the JV race, John Nocella led the way for the Mules in a time of 19:30, followed closely by Chase Duvall (19:35) and Josef Molnar (19:56). The Mules compete next at the Tiffin Cross Country Carnival on September 8 in Tiffin, Ohio.
