Home » Girls' Soccer NewsBedford girls soccer handed losses by PioneerMay 18, 2012 Bedford SportsTemperance -- Pioneer scored twice in the first 13 minutes of the second half snapping a 1-1 tie at intermission and added a marker in the final nine minutes for a 4-1 victory at Bedford Thursday evening.
Pioneer's Jennifer Fichera scored the game's first goal just over seven minutes into the match with a low shot to the far post.
The Kicking Mules evened the score in the final seven minutes of the first half as Hannah Duschl scored on a rebound of Kelsey Menzel direct kick.
Fichera's goal at the 42:12 mark was the game-winner. She completed the hat trick just over 10 minutes later, then assisted on Audrey Park's goal late in the contest.
Anjela Galemberti made three saves for Pioneer, while Bedford's Cheyanne McCartney was credited with 10 stops. Pioneer had a 30-7 advantage in shots attempted.
Bedford will host Berkely on Saturday with the JV match starting at 3 p.m.
Pioneer also won the JV contest at Bedford 2-0 on first half goals by Anika Szuszman and Cara Monshomp.
