Senior Kelsey Menzel started the scoring in the fourth minute, but that was the only goal of the first half as the Phoenix goalkeeper, Kristine Green, made nine saves in the opening 40 minutes.
Bedford pulled away in the second half as Hannah Duschl scored three times in 21 minutes. Jessica Kreger, Kristen Hofer, Taylor Pirrone and Kayla Lehmann also scored for the Mules.
Senior goalkeeper Cheyanne McCartney recorded her first career shutout in the match.
The Kicking Mules had a decisive 26-0 edge in shots on goal with Green finishing with 18 saves.
The Bedford junior varsity squad (7-3-1 overall) saw its two-match winning streak end as Ann Arbor Skyline scored twice in the second half for a 2-0 decision.
Goalkeeper Shawna Bucher made four saves in the contest as Bedford was out-shot 13-7.
The soccer teams will be hosting the Second Annual Bedford Kick-for-Cancer Invitational this Saturday at Indian Creek.
The JV will play at 8:30, 11 and 12:15 pm, while the varsity will play at 9:45, 12:15, and 2:45 pm.
