Bedford Sports

Wed. Feb. 15 – at Lincoln

Bedford took early charge of their season finale against Lincoln and cruised to an 8-2 win to finish 5-5 in the SEC and 16-8 overall.  Kyle Kuhr and Josh Hoogendoorn each scored a pair of goals as the Mules peppered the Lincoln goalkeeper with 55 shots.

Kuhr gave Bedford the lead a minute into the game, then Brenden Campbell made it 2-0 midway through the period.  A fluke Lincoln goal cut the lead in half, but a minute later Hoogendoorn gave the Mules their two goal lead.

The second period was all Bedford, with Hoogendoorn, Kuhr, and Jimmy Schulty scoring to build a 6-1 lead after two periods.  Lincoln scored early in the third period, with Dominic Pisanti and Grant McCormick adding goals for the Mules to close out the regular season.  Adam Glick turned back 16 of 18 shots in goal for Bedford.

Next up for Bedford is our MHSAA Pre-Regional game vs. Livonia-Churchill on Tue. Feb. 28, 7:30pm, at Eddie Edgar Arena in Livonia.
