Home » Hockey NewsBedford slips past Dexter in SEC hockeyJanuary 12, 2012 Bedford SportsWed. Jan. 11 – home vs. Dexter Halfway through their SEC game against Dexter, it looked like Bedford’s four game winning streak was about to end. Down 3-1 late in the second period, the Mules scored twice within a minute, making it a 3-3 game at the intermission. Bedford added a pair of third period goals to earn a 5-3 victory.
After the Dreadnaughts opened the scoring near the midpoint of the first period, Dominic Pisanti evened the score with his first of two goals. Dexter regained the lead before the period ended, and built their 3-1 lead before Bedford caught fire.
Grant McCormack got the Mules within a goal, then Noah Szenderski quickly got the equalizer with around four minutes remaining in the period. Josh Hoogendoorn scored the game winning goal 33 seconds into the third period, and Pisanti added an insurance goal with three minutes remaining.
Dexter finished the game on a power play and an empty net to give them a 6-on-4 advantage, but they couldn’t get one past Adam Glick who turned back 35 shots on the night. Glick improved his record to 6-1 as the Mules improved to 9-3.
