For the second year in a row I will be counting down the Top Ten Louisville Cardinals players accordingto EA Sports NCAA 2013 while my Weekend Sports Buzz Co-Host Tyler Bloyd will be doing the Kentucky players. We will have our top ten list finished by the time the Cards and Cats face off at Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium on September 2^nd.

The #5 rated player on the Louisville Roster is Sophomore Wide Receiver Eli Rogers with an overall rating of 84. Rogers stands 5-10, weighs 185 lbs and wears jersey # 82. Eli is from Miami, FLA and attended Miami Northwestern High School. During Eli’s senior season under Head Coach Billy Rolle he registered over 800 all purpose yards. He was rated a four star prospect by rivals.com and 35^th in the rivals.com top receivers poll.

Along with Teddy Bridgewater, Eli originally committed to play for the Miami Hurricanes but re-opened his recruitment after Miami dismissed Head Coach Randy Shannon. Rogers joins not only Bridgewater but Jermaine Reve and Michaelee Harris as former Miami Northwestern players who now play for the Cards.

Eli led the Cards with 41 receptions and had a total of 454 yards receiving (11.1 yards per reception) in 2011. His best game of the season was at Cincinnati finishing with seven catches for 106 yards.  Eli will be counted on this season to fill the void with last year's leading receiver (and his former high school team-mate) Michaelee Harris's recent injury which will result in him missing another entire season.
