Top Ten Player According to EA Sports NCAA 2013: #6 Dominique Brown
August 20, 2012KentuckySports.co
For the second year in a row I will be counting down the Top Ten Louisville Cardinals players according to EA Sports NCAA 2013 while my Weekend Sports Buzz Co-Host Tyler Bloyd will be doing the Kentucky players. We will have our top ten list finished by the time the Cards and Cats face off at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium on September 2nd.
The #6 rated player on the Louisville Roster is Junior Running Back Dominique Brown. Dominique stands 6-2, weighs 230 lbs and wears jersey #10. Dominique is from Cincinnati, Ohio and attended Winton Wood High School where he was a three year starter at QB under Head Coach Troy Everhart. He rushed for 4,685 yards and 64 touchdowns and threw for 1,691 yards and 15 TDs during his high school career.
Brown was rated as a 4 star Quarterback/Athlete and the 20th best dual-threat QB prospect by rivals.com
During the 2011 season Brown finished second on the team in rushing with 533 yards and tied for the team lead with four rushing touchdowns. He started the season playing in special Quarterback packages but transitioned to just playing running back for the Kentucky game where he led the Cards with 14 carries for 93 yards during a 24-17 Cards victory!
During this recent interview with Louisville Sports Live’s Brent Lepping Dominique was asked if he wanted to be the Cards feature back this season; “ Absolutely I wanna be the featured back. I wanna be the main guy. But there’s a lot of talent here. Senorise (Perry) pushed me and Jeremy (Wright) in the spring and Corvin Lamb is an up-and-comer. There’s a lot of competition and we’re all making each other better, but come September 2nd, I wanna be that guy that the coaches look to first.”
