Terry Rozier Will Go To Prep School For A Year

September 17, 2012

According to Jody Demling, Terry Rozier will not be on the the Cardinals roster this year. Instead he will be attending Hargrave Military Academy to complete his schooling. Rozier was waiting to become eligible for the 2012-2013 as he took summer school and retook his ACT. Hargrave is the same school that coach Kevin Keatts coached at before Louisville, it is also where 2013 commit Anton Gill will be attending next year.

Rozier talked to Rick Pitino today and decided this was the best decision for him, he made it clear to Jody Demling, "I am still committed to Louisville." This is going to bring some issues to Louisville this summer with not having a true point guard to backup Peyton Siva. Kevin Ware has been practicing the two spot and we learned last year that Russ Smith is not a point guard. On the other hand Pitino has two players committed for 2013 and he doesn't have to stress about finding a point guard.

Rozier is very talented and would have gotten some playing time this year for the Cardinals. He has a great shot and is very quick. It will be interesting to see how he develops at Hargrave in the next year.
