Home » Boys' Basketball NewsBrooklyn Nets ink deal with former Wildcat Keith BogansJuly 22, 2012 KentuckySports.co
News that came out a few days back from the northeast is that the newly named Brooklyn Nets, formerly the New Jersey Nets will re-sign guard Keith Bogans. He suffered a season ending knee injury just 5 games into the 2011-12 NBA season but has made a full and healthy recovery. As we all know, Keith Bogans played for Kentucky from 1999-2003 and was actually named the SEC Player of the Year his final season for UK. Since leaving Lexington for the NBA, he has jumped around teams starting with the Magic, followed by Charlotte, Houston, Orlando again, Bucks, Spurs, Bulls and finally the Nets. So Bogans has been around the league but has obviously earned his keep in the NBA and we wish the best of luck to him next season! Also, the Nets could be interested in another former Wildcat in Nazr Mohammed. He was just apart of the runner up OKC Thunder team. We will update you with any breaking news around this as well.
