Former UK Football Player Jeremy Jarmon Hired As Assistant Director of Player Personnel

July 18, 2012
By Jon Hancock of KentuckySports.co

Head Coach Joker Phillip announced today that former University of Kentucky defensive end Jeremy Jarmon was hired as the assistant director of player personnel. Jarmon left Kentucky after he was declared ineligible for his senior year because of a failed drug test in which he tested positive for a banned diuretic supplement that he was given to help with a shoulder injury.

Jarmon was selected in the 2009 supplemental draft by the Washington Redskins where he played for two years before being traded to the Denver Broncos. Six days ago Jarmon announced on Kentucky Sports Radio that he was retiring and he had been in contact with Mitch Barnhart and Joker Phillips about pursuing something outside of football.
