Home » Boys' Basketball NewsKentucky Recruit To Watch: Julius RandleJune 27, 2012 By Jon Hancock of KentuckySports.co According to Jason Jordon of ESPN.com, 2013 prospect Julius Randle is being recruited hard by Kentucky and N.C State. Randle is 6'8 215lbs and is ranked the best power forward in his class. He is ranked the 2nd best player in the 2013 class by ESPN.com. He plays at Prestonwood Christian Academy in Dallas, Texas. Scout.com says of Randle, "One of the top post prospects in the 2013 class, Randle is an aggressive low post scorer. The 6-foot-8 power forward has a variety of scoring moves, can finish through contact and likes to face up defenders and attack the basket. He owns his area rebounding wise, is a defensive presence and is one of the premiere athletes that the 2013 class has to offer." Randle was also apart of the USA U18 that won the gold medal in the 2012 FIBA Americas U18 Championship. He averaged 14.2 points and 6.6 rebounds per game during the championship.
