Former University of Kentucky and Trinity High School tight end Nick Melillo signed a rookie free agent deal with the New England Patriots. The terms of the deal were not announced. Excerpt from Patriots.com: Melillo, 23, is a rookie free agent from Kentucky. The 6-foot-2 inch, 226 pounder played in 32 games over the last three seasons for Kentucky after transferring from Lindenwood University. He played in 32 games and caught 23 passes for 240 yards with one touchdown during his Kentucky career.
