Louisville Heads To The Big East Finals After Defeating Notre Dame

       The Louisville Cardinals romped the Fighting Irish in the semi-finals 64-50 and now head to the Big East Tournament finals against Cincinnati Saturday night at 9pm on ESPN. Peyton Siva is playing some amazing basketball, he had 13 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Gorgui Dieng was 8 for 8 scoring 16 points and 6 rebounds. Dieng had several amazing jump hooks over Cooly that were just beautiful.

       Russ Smith and Peyton Siva's ability to frustrate teams with their quickness on full-court pressure is what is helping the Cards win these game. Rick Pitino called them "misquettos" after the game.

         At the beginning of the press conference after the game RickPitino asked  Gorgui Dieng to give the opening remarks to the media.“I can't do it. What do you want me to say?” Dieng replied to his coach. “Tell them you thought it was brilliantly coached,” Pitino said.

      Pitino said of Dieng's game, “We wanted to go inside because they don't trap the post and  he did a very good job tonight of going to a variety of different moves,especially his jump hook.”
