Royals Outlast Eagles In Season Opener

The Eagles put up a great effort Thursday night, but came up just short against the visiting Hopkins Royals.  Hopkins was able to get off to a fast start and took a commanding lead at halftime, 38-13.  But, the Eagles showed great perserverance and outscored the Royals 20 -7 in the second half.  In the end, it wasn't enough as Hopkins hung on to beat Kennedy, 45-33 at Bloomington Stadium.  The Eagles will now prepare for their first road game at Lakeville North this upcoming Friday at 7pm.  Be sure to check out the play of the week posted on the right side of the Kennedy Football home page.
