Meet Your 2013-2014 Cheerleading Captains
February 11, 2014Kendrick High School
Since early this summer the cheerleading team has been hard at work and with the rapidly coming to a close we thight it was time to meet the two young ladies that have been making things happen for the 2013 - 2014 cheerleading team. Captain - Charlisa Ross and Co-Captain Asia Raleigh:
Ross - Currently a senior at Kendrick High School . During her time at KHS, Charlisa played softball, basketball, and ran track. She started cheering in her junior year. Ross said, "I enjoy cheering but at first everything was so new to me but I caught on fast"
Last summer, Charlisa was awarded a captain position. She went on to say, "This year has been an awesome year I've learned how to stunt, which was something I had never did so it was a challenge." I enjoyed working with the girls , getting to know everybody and teaching them what I know.
My plans after high school include joining the Army and attending SCAD to acquire a degree in graphic communications.
Raleigh - I was a cheerleader when I was younger, but this year is my first year cheering on the high school level, and I must say, "it's much more difficult". We put in a lot of hours practicing and preparing for games and special events. Being named Co-Captain was a special honor and a responsibility that I did not take lightly. The team this year was a handful but we all came together as sisters.
After high school, I plan to study criminal justice and join the U.S. Air Force. I have not committed to any school yet however, CSU And Georgia Southern are my two top choices. I still have a lil time before I make a firm decision.
